Innovative solutions and strategic partnerships headlined our presence at KubeCon 2023. Highlights included live demonstrations of our industry-leading Symcloud™ product suite along with partners Google Cloud and Intel, and detailed walkthroughs of use cases enabled by cloud-native adoption, which are revolutionizing the telecom and enterprise sectors.
Rakuten Symphony showcased a stellar presence at KubeCon+ CloudNativeCon 2023, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s Chicago conference gathering technologists from across the globe. As a trusted solutions provider to some of the world’s leading telecom companies and enterprises, we took center stage, bolstering our commitment to transform the telecom industry through cloud-native technologies.
We engaged in a host of activities, including technical presentations and live demonstrations of our cloud-native product suite, Symcloud™, along with technology partners Google Cloud and Intel. Visitors had the opportunity to engage with our team of experts, gaining insights into how these joint innovations are reshaping industry verticals. The participation highlighted our efforts to deliver innovative and scalable cloud-native solutions that empower businesses to build and operate solutions and enable the developer community to function efficiently, cost-effectively, and with intensive customer focus.
At the Google Cloud stand, we jointly showcased Symcloud™ Storage – the pre-certified solution for Google Distributed Cloud Edge, along with solution experts from Google. There were demonstrations of real-world, industry-specific distributed edge use cases. Enterprises were guided on transforming their existing infrastructure set-up and the competitive advantage of deploying their workloads on GDCE with Symcloud’s persistent storage at scale.
The Google-Rakuten Symphony partnership brings together the extensive cloud computing expertise and innovative storage solutions of two of the foremost players in the industry. The resulting robust and scalable storage solution is built to accommodate the ever-growing demands of modern enterprises. Google had recently launched multiple hardware stack configurations with Google Anthos and Symcloud Storage as a pre-certified platform – now generally available (GA). Businesses can deploy Symcloud Storage along with Google Anthos to support their new and emerging edge requirements, such as massive IoT, smart facilities, smart retail enterprise private 5G, and distributed edge.
At the Intel stand, we teamed up with solution experts from Intel and Dell to demonstrate how enterprises can improve performance and reduce latency in service mesh deployments using Intel CryptoMB and Symcloud Platform. Discussions centered on Symcloud’s user-friendly App-Store – how it simplifies onboarding and enables customized Istio deployments for accelerated Intel TLS handshake, resulting in 2x transactions per second and 50% lower latency.
KubeCon provided a robust platform for networking and collaboration, as our team of experts actively shared ideas on driving innovation in cloud-native telecommunications and highlighted its contributions to various open-source projects and initiatives that are advancing the cloud-native ecosystem. These contributions underscore our commitment to open-source software development and collaboration within the community.
