Which industries need edge cloud computing for real-time data?
All of them, if you go by the variety of technology leaders that are participating in the Rakuten Cloud panel I have the honor of moderating at New York City Transformation Assembly on Oct. 23 (free entrance for CIO and qualified senior technology leaders).
These panelists include senior leaders from pharma, retail, cloud services and life sciences taking part in a discussion on “The Edge Cloud: Bringing real-time data access to the enterprise.”

Rakuten Cloud and Google Cloud have a wide ranging and close partnership that integrates Rakuten Cloud-Native Storage (Rakuten CNS) into Google Cloud’s Anthos Kubernetes distribution designed for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC).
The integration is seamless and Rakuten CNS enables GDC customers to migrate their stateful workloads to containers seamlessly and transform their edge deployments.

Some of the key topics that will be discussed by the panelists include the benefits and challenges of edge cloud implementations (private, public, hybrid), solutions for handling real-time data access, solutions for data security and data availability, and the role of AI in their edge cloud.
