The Supermicro SYS-212D-72C-FN8P is a 2U ultra-short depth edge server optimized for RAN workloads in distributed locations. The system is based on Intel® Xeon® 6 SoC with 72-Cores / 325W TDP and features Intel® vRAN Boost, eight DIMM slots for up to 1 TB of memory, one M.2 NVMe 2280 drive, two U.2 2.5” NVMe drives, and options for redundant AC or DC power supplies.
 
It is designed for high-density, front-access I/O environments and has eight on-board SFP28 ports 25GbE and three SMA connectors (GNSS / 1PPS in / 1PPS out). The system can be expanded with two PCIe TimeSync double-width cards (AOM-D25GCN-I8ST) for a total of 24 SFP28 25GbE ports.
