BARCELONA, March 5 2025 – To accelerate global access to its cutting-edge storage solutions, Rakuten Symphony is extending its strategic alliance with Google Cloud by making Rakuten Cloud-Native Storage available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Rakuten Symphony’s software-defined storage (SDS) solution and Rakuten Cloud-Native Storage have helped Rakuten Symphony reach new customers and provide a persistent storage solution for Google Distributed Cloud offerings. Google Distributed Cloud connected servers utilize Rakuten SDS for abstracted storage.
In 2023 Rakuten Symphony announced its Rakuten Cloud-Native Storage, or SDS, for enterprise applications and operator-led 5G Edge solutions will be offered through Google Cloud Marketplace. Rakuten Cloud’s SDS offering is extremely efficient, easy to deploy and manage at scale. It offers Google Distributed Cloud customers enhanced availability, data resiliency and security making it simple to migrate stateful workloads to containers seamlessly and transform their edge deployments.
As Rakuten Symphony’s product suite has expanded globally, Rakuten Symphony is reaching new enterprise customers in vertical markets, including retail, manufacturing, entertainment and media. By leveraging Google Cloud’s powerful infrastructure, Rakuten Symphony is helping customers connect the latest cloud technology and apply generative AI solutions to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and drive innovation.
