Inspired by his inherent curiosity, Yasin's journey into telecommunications led him to Rakuten Symphony, where he thrives on continuous learning, embraces new challenges, and contributing to innovative solutions in mobile networks.
In 2015, I was happily pursuing my master’s degree at university, focusing on particle accelerators. However, life doesn’t always go as planned and sometimes forces us to make difficult decisions. I ultimately decided to leave my master’s program and took my first step into the telecommunications industry as an RF Planning and Optimization Engineer.

Within a short time, I discovered the exciting side of telecommunications. Starting with the basic principles of the industry, I learned something new every day. While working at my previous company, I began conducting research on O-RAN. After learning about the O-RAN project that was about to launch in Germany, I didn’t hesitate to move here, as it presented an invaluable opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds. Since the beginning of 2022, it has been a rewarding experience, where every day brings something new to learn.
I’ve been part of the Germany team since the very beginning - even before the office officially opened so I’ve had the chance to witness the entire journey firsthand. Over time, I’ve taken on a variety of roles, starting with field visits and RF planning, and later moving into the position of RF Regional Manager.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying flexible and believing that there is always a solution. It’s about remaining persistent until you find the right timing and the best approach.
Rakuten Symphony is a highly dynamic environment, and because the team is made up of strong individuals, people naturally step up and take on new responsibilities when needed. Since joining, I’ve grown significantly not only technically, but also in terms of communication and management skills. Having the opportunity to move between different roles has helped all of us become more adaptable.
Above all, the people have been the highlight. Working alongside supportive and talented colleagues makes even the most challenging days enjoyable. It’s inspiring to be part of a team where everyone is open, collaborative, and always willing to share their knowledge.
In short, making progress each day, staying curious, and pushing beyond my comfort zone are key principles that guide the way I work. Continuously gaining new knowledge not only supports professional success but also brings a sense of personal fulfillment. At the same time, it’s important to remember that stepping outside of one’s comfort zone is often the first step toward discovering new opportunities and perspectives.
Although my hobbies have evolved since moving to Germany and becoming a father of two, spending time on nature walks remains essential for me. The balance and tranquility of nature provide a great source of relaxation and renewal. And of course, I can’t forget the weekly football matches I enjoy playing.

In the short term, my main goal is to continue growing in my current role and to keep contributing meaningfully to the company’s success. I want to further develop my technical and professional skills while gaining deeper experience in my field.
Looking ahead, I’m particularly interested in expanding my career toward the area of satellite communications, which I find both exciting and full of potential. In the long run, I hope to build expertise in this domain and be involved in projects that leverage satellite technology to support innovative communication solutions.
The most helpful advice is to always stay open to learning and to understand the value that learning brings. Being curious, improving yourself, and enjoying what you do are key to growing both personally and professionally. When you approach your work with a positive mindset, challenges become opportunities to learn and improve.
